Calvin COMM Reels

The Reels content created for the Calvin University Communication Department

During my COMM 390 Independent Study, I learned the best social media practices and was tasked with creating and posting content each week that would benefit the department. Through a social media audit and social media strategy plan, I found that the department would benefit greatly from posting Reels. Throughout the rest of the semester, I planned, created, and posted Reels that featured department professors and students that would promote the department's Big Idea, "Curiosity. Collaboration. Career Foundation." The content of the Reels included interviews, students sharing their "day in the life", occasional tours, and some seasonal posts.

These posts helped increase organic Instagram reach by 1.1k percent, Instagram engagement by 1.9k percent, organic Facebook reach by 850.9 percent, and Facebook engagement by 1.1k percent.
